"Deadline is over"....and so is student life...

I hated my uni [because it was so disorganised and rubbish - a lot of teaching drama etc] but I loved learning stuff and the crazy people I allowed to befriend me [lol]. The name of the third and final end of year party/rave/prom was terribly cringey....'Irresistaball' [I shudder]...but it was still fun!

I decided to ditch the new dress I was gonna wear because it was didn't allow me to lunge [I lunge in all of my outfits to make sure they don't hold me back from shaking a leg on tha dancefloor lol]. Even though I always wear something new to the end of year parties, I didn't care.....I had finished uni....that was exciting enough for me to go in a bin liner. No WAY did I wear a bin liner, but I did wear something old. I wore my beautifully vintage NIKE BODYSUIT [THE HOTTEST NIKE BODYSUIT EVER....I love it to death!], my MISS SELFRIDGE PEPLUM DENIM SKIRT, my old'n'fatithful NIKE SB BLAZERS and my MINNIE MOUSE EARS! Unfortunately, the ears don't show up too well in photos because they blend in with my hair colour but they did the trick on the night!!!

The "aside"....

Today is the day I actually get back to bidness. My blog has been so dead [lol, it's true!]. I have loads of stuff to say and do but I have not been able to write about it since I was in Portugal......then when I came back from what was THE BEST END OF UNI TRIP EVER, I open my laptop....and find a virus. Yes, a virus.

I have been without my laptop since then and today I was told that I should be getting it back. There's a lot of technical trash that I could bore you with but, to put it simply:

My hard drive is going to be wiped clean

I have to re-install ALLLLLLLLL my music software/ plug-ins etc

I will probably have to manually re-install ALL the instruments on EVERY FRIGGIN PIECE OF MUSIC I HAVE MADEon my laptop which is LONG!

[Kara lets go of hair.....and takes a deeeeeeep breath....aaahhhh]

So, I am using my Mum's DEAD laptop which works like a sloth so the next few posts should keep my idle hands entertained until it's time to pick up the lappytappy.....

I am going to work backwards.....starting with my uni prom....which happened in May [AHAHHAHAHA]

Oh yeah some of the tracks off this album were remixed or altered weren't they......because the kicks'n'snares kept changing from acoustic to electronic.....it really annoyed me coz when I used to say that some people told me I was chattin' crap.....I wasn't though.....was I....? I'm sure 'Provider' has many faces....

The end of this video is too cheesy and it always seemed as if Pharrell was airbrushed into a Chinese dude when he's with the kids.....strange....

I love the dudes singing 'Hi-hi-high' in the background....I can't remember what band it was but I love the way their adlibs add a 70's feel to it......kinda like Chicago....

Nautical by Nature!

Last year whilst doing my usual rummage through the hell that is TK Maxx [.....I did work experience there when I was in high school - trust me.....it IS hell] I found a really nice sequin crop jumper.....then I saw the label [See by Chloe].....then I saw the price [£90]. My heart sank.......then I saw the price it used to be [something scary like £300 etc!].....I walked off home with it......was cussed by my mum and told to take it back "...cos you're not rich Kara...you've got to stop this nonsense.....".

Anywho, the first time I wore it I went to a club I had never been to. So, when I got into the venue I got a nice surprise.......THE INTERIOR decided to come dressed as me!!HAHA......

Miss Joanne [above] and Miss Rinnie [next to me below] could have given me a heads up that the wall was gonna try and upstage me.....lol!

There's a point to this post.....my friend, Rachie-Pie, told me that she saw some other losers [celebs] with MY top......

Me and my friend went out shopping today [Oh?....what a surprise, Kara...] and decided to go all over Camden town and West End. This is like my third time around those ends in the past few days - NOT GOOD - I'm already struggling to lower my spending....it's like throwing a rabbit in front of race dogs....they can't help but to run dammit!

Luckily, I only bought three things [I think] , an orange dress and men's shirt from Primark and some sunglasses from Aldo [whoops - forgot to take a pic of me in those.....back in a jiffy.....]

Okay my skin is overly-oily today [like most days haha] and I'm sorry if the beam from my forehead interrupts your daily routine.....

I think that I did quite well ....luckily the £70 shoes I picked up in Zara didn't leave the shop with me.......and these £35 pound Blue Suede are coming home with me very soon....

I'm so sick of the shops making blue suede shoes.....it's personal now because my penchant for soft blues and furry shoes is being abused! ABUSED! It's like these shops KNOW I like blue suede so they make the shoes in this colour or black......I've already got a pair of black suede heels.....NEXT....damn...those blue suede fringed sandals I bought - I still ain't posted em up yet have I?! My room needs sorting out tommorow so I will post those and my other bits I got last week... [I'm currently torn between watching Scrubs and the Finland entry on the Eurovision Song Contest....both are extremely funny......one, more so than the other....]

Talking about sunglasses made this song pop into my head......I love the strings and the lil dance in the beginning......even though Mark Ronson's 'Ooo Wee' rinsed the hell outta this track, it's still good.....

Random: Lady Gaga's 'PokerFace' was on the radio and that part where she goes 'p-p-p-poker face (m-m-m-more)...' made my Mum go, "Hey - she stole the adlibs from a Boney M song......don't you remember?", [as if me and her grew up back in the day haha]. I heard this song the other day and I'm very sure there was a remix that I really liked....I can't remember/find it.....but dahwell! The song is depressingly catchy - I think the remix was either Jungle/Trance/Some other crazy 90's type genre.......if anyone has it, please send it!!!!!

Okay, I am officially happy!!! Wooo!!!! I finally got my blue suede Unique shoes!!!I posted about 'em a while back!!!! First, I got the 'Essex girl' white snakeskin pair coz they didn't have the blue pair and I needed a backup......

...then I phoned a few Topshop stores and found the blue pair......even though I really want the new green pair now....lol! I dunno if I'm making sense cos I'm typing and talking on the phone about all the gossip from my end of Uni ball/rave etc whateva they called it.....I got loadsa pics to post up from that night of madness with ma uni peeps....soon come....I'm proper tryna multi-task at the moment but it's floppin'......Okay I'm off the phone now....here are some photos...

I'VE FINISHED UNIVERSITY...not for summer...FOR GOOOOOD!!!!!!


Three years of fun and two weeks of complete and utter strife......[aka three years of sleeping instead of being in lectures...three years of friends and frivolous frolics...two weeks of cramming/shaking from naseau/breakdowns/depression/migraines/regrets/convos with stupidos/major bible reading]

My life looked like this for most of those horrid two weeks....beards and books.....beards and boooks .....BEARRRDSS AND BOOOOOOOOOKS.....four hours sleep......BOOOKS AND BEAAAARDS

All in all I prayed and prayed to be in a happy place......and now I am, I am back! I hate bringing people down so I always hide from fam/friends for a hot minute to sort my head out blah blah....all in all, I learnt nothing in Uni but I did learn something VERY important about myself......I even had dreams about this key thing months before my deadline....so it definitely freaked me out and I'm def gonna change....trust me!!!

Ok......loads has happened....I might blog bout it randomly without any regards for time and chronological blog flow [lol]....so bare with me!

I'm watching the Hills so I'm not actually focused.......ARGH Spencer needs a good fly-kick in his stupid mug lol! I really can't understand him......he is sooooooo insecure it's frightn[whoops I forgot how to spell that word for a sec haha].....frightening.

I have already expressed my addiction to buying things and it's not a good one. I don't look at my bank statements either...they just stack up....each envelope half opened and half closed to show that 'I've tried'. I haven't. I just rely on the student loan to keep me afloat!

I'm doing well though...didn't buy anything in the past five days. I'm praying I keep strong - I haven't eaten chocolate either since Lent started!!!! HOW SICK AM I!lol!

I was really annoyed the other day because of the lack of people writing about Lady Gaga's subliminal messages through her crazy music so I did some proper research [ meaning: I clicked on the second page of google's serach results...]and found something!

Alas! Someone feels me! I will not post the blog because:

1 - It's a little TOO paranoid about the subjects of conspiracy/mind control/illuminati/free masons etc so in effect they end up controlling your way of thinking as you read the blog more.....

2 - I don't want people looking for such issues to end up linking back to my blog because all that stuff is toooooo dodgy!

3 - The blog's tendency to go overboard with its analysis may put you off the idea that we are being controlled as some of the points will seem 'ridiculous'.

What I do like about the blog is that they go in depth....REAL deep into the core of their subjects which shows a genuine passion. Their analysis on Lady Gaga was very interesting. I'm sure we all know what 'Poker Face' is about.....before Kid Cudi I knew very well what she was on about! However, it goes a little deeper than that line.......she ain't a dummy, trust me.

If you think her abstract dress sense is contrived, you are slightly right.....but if you think that of her persona...WRONG.....try using the 'constructed'....she probably reads a lot more than the amount of time she may insinuate that she gets poked. Either that or she sleeps in a lab.

I'm sorry for my ranting and no telling but I'm supposed to be working! I just had the urge to say this! I know it was all filler but I'm so sick of people like Lady Gaga trying to be 'smart'. You make catchy songs and are interesting to look at but you are not going to be the next Madonna...no one can be that desperate! Not even you, Gaga!

Okay so I could keep this blog updated with funk-that sweet-that hood proper -gushy stuff cos at present my work consists of reading books about Hip Hop and Pop culture. I keep finidng out loadsa really interesting things but I will post these at the end of the month or I will never [ARGGHHHHH my eyes just saw the time......aww damn...i was only supposed to browse the net for a bit not an HOUR and a bit....curse my- erm no - how dare my wondering thoughts try and curse my eyes....stupid subconscious audible thoughts] yea .....[ermmm I will never...] leave uni if I don't try and cram/study for the next few weeks.

I confessed to a friend that as well writing journalistically [istically x 100]I wanted to write....academically [SHOCK HORROR] after reading these music/pop culture/karl marx books because I always feel the urge to blab on too much.....[as you can tell]....and you can't really blab in journalism. People get bored - no one hires you - you're boring. BUUUUUUT - when you write your own books n that so what if someone gets bored....you released a damn book didn't ya! You get instant credit AND cos no one hires ya... no one fires ya! SCORE! I'm sure there are some Marxist theories that no gives a damn about cos its so dry...but he probably knew this so he spent bare time writing crap for us losers [those at the Frankfurt school got patience!!] to sift through.....I likes that theory.....write bare crap then when you die someone will make your work better than it was.....this doesn't apply to rap music. Yes - everything I just said was a bunch of nonsense....I just miss writing on here and wanted to abuse this right.

OMGOSH - I have just finished writing a page of my dissertation on how New Kids On The Block RIPPED off black music [NKOTB - I still love you guys!!! I'm just writing bad stuff bout you cos I want a higher mark on my musical thesis!!] anywho.... whilst I read up about them I stumbled across this.....
